Small full-length portrait of Peregrine Courteney of Powderham (1720-1786). He was the son of Sir William Courteny, 2nd Bart and his wife lady Anne (Bertie). He matriculated at Balliol Oxford aged 19 on 15.5.1739. He married firstluy Lucy Incledon in 1751 and secondly Augusta Beaumont on 2nd December 1780. He died without issue.
